United States Or Israel?

Been parked in Isaiah 5 for the past 3 weeks.
First found myself there on July 12th of this year.
Sounds a lot like what is happening here in our country.

Isaiah 5:9
The Lord Almighty has delcared in my hearing;
"Surely the great houses will become desolate, the fine mansions left without occupants."

Our housing markets continue to decline as mortgauges are defaulted on.

Verse 10
A ten acre vineyard will produce only a bath of wine, a homer of seed will produce only a ephah of grain.

The heartland of the country was hit with floods and tornado's this year, destroying a very high percentage of crops that will not show up in our markets.

Verse 11
Woe to those who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks, who stay up late at night till they are inflamed with wine.

Addiction is on the rise. It's not that we are seeing more people addicted, we are seeing a new type of addict. One that accepts no responsiblity for their own actions. That does not take any responsiblity for his own life or future.

Verse 12
They have harps and lyres at their banquets, tambourines and flutes and wine, but they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord, no respect for the work of his hands.

We have become a self-indulgent, self-absorbed people whose sin has left us blind to the truth of God.

Verse 15
So man will be brought low and mankind humbled, the eyes of the arrogant humbled.

Everything we hold dear to is being shakened by the hand of God. We are going to see what is and what isn't eternal. Where does your trust and hope lie? God isn't interested in our comfort or lifestyle. He is only interested in a total healing of the individual.

Verse 16
But the Lord Almighty will be exalted by his justice, and the holy God will show himself holy by his righteousness.

There is going to be a revelation of who God is in this economic free fall. Not everyone will recognize Him because of being so self centered. They cannot look beyond themselves.

Verse 17
Then sheep will graze as in their own pastures; lambs will feed among the ruins of the rich.

God will feed and provide for his people (We are the sheep of his pasture).

A page has turned in our world.
Not for the better I fear, but for the reality that a showdown is approaching.
God will be God and the world will reject the truth.
Let the Body of Christ draw near and sing praises and tell of His excellent greatness.

Let not our voices be silent.
Let us not judge. The world has already been judged.
Let us proclaim the truth that hearts would be touched and changed.

God is good.....
Yes! He is........

I have a theology that God hates pride and arrogance. Also that God is behind our calamities. Rebuking the Devil won't do any good...but repentance will!
