The Start...The First...In The Beginning

Genesis 1:1
"In the beginning, God created......"

That word ..'created'.
In this case, the act or action of God used to bring about everything we see.....
and everything we don't see.
What an incredible power to be able to birth, bring forth, create into existence from nothing.
The order than came by God's thought and word.
The chaos that was tamed and brought under the authority of God.
Incredible.
Yet nothing has changed today.
The God that appeared in Genesis 1:1 is still the God that is in control today.

Here on planet Earth, me with all my seemingly over whelming problems and character defects, seems far removed from Genesis 1:1.
Genesis 1:1 is brought to us on such a grand scale and yet I'm so small and insignificant. God doesn't have time for me. What a lie we believe.
We are a part of "God created".
It is the love of God that brought all of this about in order for us to have a place to live.
It was the choice placed in man's heart, by God, that brought everything crashing down in the garden of Eden.
Yet with the sin and downfall that came, God chose not to destroy everything and start over. No! God chose to love his creation so much that he put in place a way for our broken relationship to be restored. That way came through his Son, Jesus.

We messed up.
God cleaned up.
We sin.
God forgives.
We turn our backs on God.
He remains faithful and true to His word. He does not hold grudges or resentment.
We seek spiritual darkness to hide in....
God continues to call out "Adam! Where are you?"
Not because He doesn't know our location. But to give us a chance to respond to his loving call.

God created.
The devil corrupts.
Addiction.
That came from the devil.
Crack, Meth, Weed, Whisky, all came from the devil.
Even that which God created for good, the devil has influenced and brought about bad.
Prescription meds? They serve a purpose for healing. The devil brings about destruction by enticement.
The funny part in all of this, is that God's ability to create far out weighs the devil ability to corrupt.
No matter what the devil may bring into your life, God still stands ready to utter those words once more..."Let there be....."
II Corinthians 5:17 -  Now we look inside and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah, Jesus Christ, gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone, an new life burgeons!

The devil wants you to believe the oldest lie in the world.
That God is powerless....
His word has failed and no longer is relevant.
We are a hopeless race with no one to rescue us from ourselves.
All lies.
Get into God's word today and see for yourself.
Don't just read it, but rather let it speak to you.
Listen to what it says.
Receive from God himself today!

God on you...
