Don't Leave Home Without It!

II Corinthians 5:7
We walk by faith.........not by sight.

Have you ever noticed that some of the most incredible truth's of God are given to us in the most simplest of terms? I use to think that maybe God thought we couldn't handle the complicated things of His that are eternal. Now, years later, I found out that God gave us truth's in simple terms so that we would have no excuse for not following them. You know, when something is given to you with mono-syllable words...easy words.....there's not much wiggle room. You can't explain disobedience by saying, "Well, that wasn't what I took it to mean." Sometimes the main thing is the main thing. What you read is exactly what it means. In this case....we have been given the behavior that separates believers from non-believers. Are at least it is supposed to.

Faith! That divine concept....the truth of God....the glue that holds it all together. Faith isn't born in the human heart or conceived in the human mind. It is a gift from God given to fallen humanity. Scripture says that a measure of faith is given to every person. If not for this gift, we would not be able to be brought into Salvation or a right relationship with God.
As it says in Hebrews 11:1, "What is faith? Faith is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen (Our hope being born in God speaking to your hearts). It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see."
Faith is the greater connection that locks man to God......
Not faith in what God will do or not do. But faith that He is who He claims to be and that His will and nature will be displayed in every situation we face. I wholly lean on and rest in this belief.

Faith sees around the corner.
Faith looks over the hill.
Faith knows the depth of the pit when all we see is inky darkness.
Faith is God-vision that enables us to see through a sin-soaked world.
Faith lets us see the cross not as an event that took place but as the moment in time and space when an eternal God gave himself for humanity that cursed Him and demanded His crucifixion.
Faith points me above and beyond my problems that seem to be destined to overwhelm me.
Faith is the voice that I hear which confirms the reality that God is in control.

Faith is of such importance to us and to the Kingdom of God, the devil seeks to destroy it in us. He seeks to eradicate every vestige of faith that exists in this world. He does so by keeping us in frustration. He heaps depression and guilt and shame upon people to such an extent, they can't see beyond the pain. Is his plans and ability so powerful that God cannot penetrate? Never. That is why we have need to share our story on this our faith-journey. When we share what God has done to us, His voice speaks through our voice and breaks through all emotional barricades to bring understanding to that person who is suffering.

Exercise your faith...
Rejoice in your faith....
Breath in your faith....
And by all means.....
Walk by faith and not by your natural sight and understanding.

God on you....
