Repairing The Cracks And Sealing The Broken Places

Psalm 11:3
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Foundation: That which becomes the base for the entire structure to rest upon.
The solid place on which all other is built.
The sure and firm establishment from which our concepts and ideas and beliefs are held together.
Shake the foundation, everything crumbles.
Destroy the foundation, life becomes a house of cards in a tornado.
That is why at the center of this relationship with Jesus and our daily discovery about recovery, the foundation is the pivotal piece.
What are we adding to daily?
Is it being built upon the person and word of Jesus?
Or is it being constructed upon religious sounding themes and catchy phrases meant to stir out flesh?  But does nothing to make firm our soul and commitment to Him.

Real faith is evidence of the foundation we are being built upon.
What you say you believe is tested at times to reveal to you if there are any weak places in your belief's that you need to take a look at.
Real faith is rarely seen in times of peace and prosperity, but it is easily distinguished in seasons of adversity. It is easy to trust God with you personal desires but much harder to believe Him to supply your family's needs.

Foundational faith is us being honest about our absolute need for God's deliverance. Truly recognizing that we are powerless.

Foundational faith is coming to an understanding of the saving and Holy nature of God, and trusting in it.

Foundational faith is accepting the love of God both in times of testing and in times of peace.

Rod Hembree says that, "Faith is a strange mix of God's WORD in us, entangled with the experiences our Lord takes us through."

That is why Jesus commanded, not suggested, that we not only hear His words, but apply them to our daily walk. Put them in place and allow the Spirit of God to work in us, changing us into the child He desires us to be. It is all a part of that "new creation" lifestyle where the old has gone and the new has come.
