We Came And Presented Our Gifts

Matthew 2:11
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented Him gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

It was a very intimate evening. We gathered together to simply worship not the Child, but the risen, glorified Christ last night. We came to present our treasures to Him. We came to acknowledge Him as the giver of life. We gathered to worship.

The songs led us in a progression of thought and heart that took us into the presence of God.
The Spirit gave unction to sing beyond the words on the screen. The Holy Spirit of God brought up words from deep within our hearts. New songs to God. New songs that proclaimed His greatness. IT was that kind of evening.

The word was taught. Seth Barber always does that when he comes to share. We are all building a "resting place" for the Spirit of God to come and inhabit. We are all allowing Him to carve out, to tear down, to break away the thoughts and attitudes of this world, so we can be filled with heaven. Filled with the Kingdom Will of God Himself.

The Magi who came before Mary and the baby Jesus, fell down and worshiped Him. They opened their treasures and presented them to Him. As a community of believers, last night we opened our treasures. We opened our hearts. We opened our hearts and presented them to Him. We gave ourselves in worship.

Last night was the eighth month anniversary of Vineyard Recovery, and it was probably the most intimate meeting we've had since returning to the Vineyard. There was a genuine sense of love and care for each of us in that room last night. There wasn't a falseness or a religious feel to what was said or in the conversation that took place. There was a collective sense of gratitude for where God has brought us from. We don't know where all of this is going. We don't know what might be lurking out there that we will have to deal with at some point in the future. But we know what a mighty work God had done in each of us that allowed us to come together last night and simply worship.

Isn't that insane. To use the phrase..."Simply worship"?
The highest call a human could ever possess and carry out would be to worship God.
We did  that last night.
Thank you Jesus.

God on you....
