A GSL Shout Out

One of the first original "Greene Street Letters."
I've been mailing out or sending over the Internet a version of the Greene Street Letters since June of 1994.
GSL began as a simple reminder of our home group meeting (we referred to them as "kinship's").
I guess if you could sum up why I write the Greene Street Letters, it would best be done by reading Psalm 9:1 - I will praise You, O Lord with my whole heart. I will tell of all Your marvelous works. GSL is my testimony of the faithfulness of this God I have given my life to. That He truly is who He claims to be, and will do what He has promised He will do. Simple as that.

GSL is not a deep theological writing that unravels the mystery of God. It is my way of simply putting something out that might spur someone to see God differently. That something that is read here at GSL might create a spark that leads to a full fledged fire of passion to chase after Jesus.

I don't know if you've ever checked out the map, located on the right side of this blog, to see where GSL is being read. I still can't wrap my head around this part. All over the world! Now....do I think that everyone who reads this letter is saved or changed? No. But I do believe that there are some out there who have found value in what is written here.

With that in mind, I'd like to take the time to say, "Hello" and "Thank you" to Mountain View, California. I don't know who you are, or why you have become a follower of this letter, but I am grateful to you for stopping by GSL daily. My wife usually reads the list of who has been reading and without fail Mountain View, California is mentioned. Vicki always asks me, "Why do you think they read GSL?" I don't know. Maybe they're taken with our Southern wit and charm......lol!

Princeton, New Jersey is another follower of  GSL. A much appreciated "Thank you" for reading daily.
Never been up to your part of the country. Closest I ever came was Philadelphia, when my son attended Temple University. I pray that the good Lord would give you what you need daily and that after this old life is over, we might meet in heaven to share some stories.

GSL has become a way of teaching and sharing with those who are either in recovery or still in active addiction. No matter which it may be, you need to realize that we, Vicki and I, love you. We love you when you're doing great and you've strung together some clean time. We love you when you're not doing so great and you feel as though you are totally alone in this whole mess we call life. We pray for you daily. You might be thinking "How can they pray for me if they don't know me?" Well, your heavenly Father knows you and our prayers are for your safety and that you may begin this journey to a new way of living.

Vineyard Recovery Church is our church. We meet on Saturday nights at 7 p.m / downtown Gadsden between 4th and 5th streets. If you can't make it, then here at GSL, we provide a way to listen to the messages. Here again....very simple messages to encourage and equip you to make it through your day.
On yeah....one last thing.
Let me toot my own horn if you will...
Monday was the 2200th posting of GSL.
I pray that God would grant me many more days and many more postings.
Vicki and I thank all of you who stop by here and read the postings.

God on you...
