Dark City....Dark Rule....Dark Life

Ephesians 6:10-12 (Message Bible)
And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and He wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you bill be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life or death fight to the finish against the Devil and all of his angels.

Addiction is a life style...a place....a territory that falls solely under the ownership of the devil.  It falls under the governmental rule and dictate of the kingdom of darkness. The devil creates occupants and fills it up with them by through the power of sin in the individuals life. The domain and rule of the devil grows and strengthens as he adds numbers to the citizenship of this spiritual country. 

Those brought into this rule and reign actually apply for citizenship to live there by giving their consent and will over to the care of the devil. Not realizing or even be able to comprehend that this ruling governments sole desire is to see the complete and ultimate destruction of those who are on the census roles.

The propaganda produced by the devil and his government is so convincing that those who make up the citizenship do not question what they hear or what they are told. The hear....they believe....the live it. They have fallen under the influence of fear which is one of the chief weapons used by this government. 

They live in fear.......fear of what?
Fear of everything.
Fear of getting caught...
Fear of not having enough drugs or alcohol....
Fear of being alone....
Fear of everyone and everything.
It is this fear that causes them to isolate from family and friends............AND GOD!
They have fallen prey to the influence of the devil....
The influence of his deceit....
The influence of his lies....
The influence that causes moral laxness...
The influence that stirs our lust and desire...
In other words, our very sin nature has played into the hands of the devil and his kingdom rule.

Stay in this place long enough, and our flesh will become excited and stirred up beyond the natural appetite. The creates more sinful acts and behaviors which only becomes a source that feeds all our negative thoughts and emotions.
You know....
Some live so long in ADDICTION CITY that they take on the custom's and habit's of the surrounding. 

So what's the answer?
Simple.
Just Jesus!
He alone has the power to break our bondage to this kingdom of darkness.
The price was paid at the cross and won at the tomb.
Death and resurrection bought my freedom.
More than just releasing us from this reign and rule of the devil, Jesus wants to teach us a new way to live....
Think of this today....
You see....it's either true or it isn't.
Simple as that.
