Shine!
One light.....
One candle.....
One flame......
That is all it takes to drive back the darkness.
One heart......
One love........
One Savior.......
That is all it took to drive back the darkness.
The gates of hell............those massive, rusted, bars that have stood ever since the fall, will not prevail.
They cannot prevail. Jesus has defeated the Kingdom of darkness, the kingdom of Satan.
By becoming a sacrifice, Jesus loved his way to victory. He is the light of the world. Not one of many lights............not a light............not some light, but rather THE LIGHT. He is the ultimate source of illumination and salvation for those trapped in spiritual darkness.
Shepherds saw the glory-light of God as it came down all around them. They were terrified until the angel said, "Fear not!"
Moses saw the glory-light of God in a bush that was not consumed. He was terrified and took off his shoes at the instruction that came from the bush.
The magi saw the message-light in the heavens and followed it until it came to rest over a house where they found the baby. There they worshipped under the heavenly light of a star that led them from the East, and nothing would ever be the same.
Evil would continue to invade and capture the souls and will of humanity.....
But....
A Savior had been born.
God in flesh walking among his creation.
Walking every day with purpose that would culminate on a cross.
Joy to all mankind.
Salvation in tidal waves of mercy poured out for all to receive.
Some did...
Some did not....
Still the plan moved on down through the ages...
Without faltering or failing....the plan moved on.
Here today, December 14, 2011, the plan is as powerful as ever.
The call to salvation has not lessened.
This is the heart and nature of Jesus the Christ.
Praise God for this and more!
Merry Christmas from the Bynum's
