In The Hands Of God.
Psalm 22:16
They pierced My hands and My feet......
Hands that know nothing by giving.....laid hold of by His own creation and nailed to a tree....
Hands that stretched out to heal....
To undo the consequences of sin...bring an end to disease and deformity....not held in place by nails....
Hands that stroked a child's cheek with the gentleness of one that loves.....now bruised and bloody.
Hands that had been folded in reverence during prayer and communion with His Father in Heaven, now swollen and violently colored with bruises....
The hands of Jesus....
And yet, it is these hands that hold everything together, even as I sit here at my computer this morning.
These hands continue to reach out to the down and out.
These hands search out those who haven't experienced His love and presence.
And even though it was humanity that nailed those hands to a cross.....He allowed it to happen so he could save the very ones who participated in the event.
In fact, sitting here this morning......December 7, 2013, I am the one responsible for His death. It was my sin that He died for.
So when we sing the song..."He's Got The Whole World In His Hands"....remember the truth of that statement. No matter what you lot is today as you rise to go about your business....No matter what you face today, good or bad....Jesus has you in the palm of His hands. He is in control and nothing happens that will catch Him off guard or unaware.
All-State Insurance has used the phrase "Your in good hands with All-State" to emphasize their care for their customers....But the ultimate "Good hands" are also "God hands".
Rest in the knowledge that God does have you in His hands of love.
Merry Christmas From The "B's" in Attalla.
God on you...
