The King of Glory

Hebrews 7:25
Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Continuing on with thoughts on prayer.
There is a cycle that takes place in the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit).

Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father. He is interceding, or praying, for us continually. The Holy Spirit, who is placed in us at the moment of our salvation, is the mediator that takes our prayers to Jesus.
Romans 8:26- And in the same way, the Spirit also helps our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
The Holy Spirit takes our petitions, our prayers back to Jesus who, in turn, gives them to the Father. The Father acts upon them, according to His plan.

So if I am not praying, then I am removing myself from this prayer cycle that goes on 24 / 7. Maybe I have no right to complain about things in my life because I have become a non-participant in the Kingdom of God.
How many of you have ever prayed the LORD'S PRAYER? I can't tell you the number of times I have prayed that prayer. In grammar school, we use to pray it every morning. That was before the Government kicked God out of school. Point is, I prayed it but it didn't mean anything. It was just religious sounding words that I spoke. Found within the Lord's prayer is something that is the most powerful statement a believer could make. It contains power beyond our comprehension. "What is it?" You may be asking.

"Your Kingdom come.........Your will be done........here on earth......as it is in heaven!"
We are asking God to interject His will right here, right now, in our time and space.
We are asking God to bring down from heaven His plans and replace the plans of the enemy that are being carried out around us every day.
We are praying and asking God to bring healing down and destroy the sickness and disease that was ushered in through the first sin.
We are praying and asking God to interject Himself into our affairs because we have made such a mess that we need a Power greater than ourselves that could restore us to sanity.
That is why I pray!

That is why you should pray!
That is why we should be about the business of the Kingdom.
How is God's will carried out?
We have asked that His will be done, haven't we?
The Kingdom will of God is carried out through those whose hearts are totally committed to Him.
We become the vessels that God uses to push back the spiritual darkness and bring healing and life to those who are under the will of the enemy...a.k.a. the devil.

You know and I know that our society is cloaked in darkness.
Evil and immorality are the norm or acceptable behavior.
But that doesn't cause us to shrink back and quit.
Now is the time for us to pray for our neighbor's.
Now is the time for us to reach out and love those who are unlovable.
Now is the time for us to live as though the Words of God are true. (which they are).
The words of Isaiah 60:1 is our dictate given to us by our heavenly Father.

"Arise! Shine! For your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you."

God on you....
