More Presents

Christmas 2008 has come and gone, but the presents keep coming in.
Presents?
Yep! Whenever I see someone who has gone through the program and they continue to live life clean and sober, chasing God..........well, that's a present.
Got a call last night from a former client who is doing well.
Work continues to come his way and you could hear gratitude in his voice. He had a hard time understanding why God would bless him in such a way. After all, he'd turned his back on God and chased the darkness for a number of years. The journey back was long and hard, but this man held on to God and walked into the light. It was a good call.

Saturday, another former Rapha-ite came by to talk.
He also is experiencing a boom in his business in spite of the economy.
He could only attribute it to God.
This was also a present.

It is the cards, letter, phone calls and visits that reaffirm to me that this God is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do.
So today, with the creek rising, the pond overflowing and more rain on the way, we'll teach and pray and council those who truly are sick and tired of being sick and tired.
It is a good day!
