Oooops....

Sorry about the lack of posting yesterday. My Internet connection was on the fritz and I wasn't able to do any work on my computer. But, this is another day and for whatever reason, I am able to be connected. Ain't God good?

Spent time in Psalms 1 this morning.
This is one of my most favorite chapters in Scripture.
To start with, it begins with a blessing for NOT doing something.
We always tend to think of blessings coming to us for something we said, or did. Not this one (Ps.1) the blessing comes for Not doing.

Most versions of this Scripture begins with the words..."Blessed is".
The word used for blessed actually means "Oh what joy"....or  "How happy is".
There is an emotional wellness that comes to us when we live the way God shows us to.
If you flip that around (the thought of emotional wellness) then would it not make sense that emotional sickness would be a part of our life if we live outside of God's will? Instead of joy and happiness, would we not experience depression and sadness? Instead of peace and contentment, would we not experience turmoil and discontentment? I think so.

In the later part of the chapter, we read these words:
For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction."
Did you catch that?
Those who the Lord declare to be godly are being watched over. Even though we know the destination of the godly (heaven) it does not mention it. It seems as though the journey through life to heaven is the most important part as we learn in this relationship between God and us.
But the wicked..........
Their destination is sealed, unless they receive God's offer of salvation.
The wicked or those who reject God, all head in the same direction.
That is why it is so vital that we talk with our friends and relatives that might not have relationship with God.
Pray for those you know who are what I refer to as "PRE-Christian".
Ask God to give you boldness to share with them.
God on you........
