Eye Of The Storm

There will always be "the" storm.
The winds of this storm seek to blow us off course.
To move us away from our destination.
They come against us with such force, that their only hope is that we will grow weary of the resistance and give up.
They will howl with such fury that our hearts will be filled with fear. Fear for our own safety if we continue on this path.

The rain will fall to counterfeit the rain of God.
It will try to imitate the grace and mercy of God in order to draw our hearts from chasing after the one who saved us.
The rain will seek to drown us and overpower us to the point that we look to our own safety rather than trust God.

There will be displays of the enemy's power in this storm.
Jagged lightning will fill the sky and illuminate the darkness. It will cut so sharp that we will want to close our eyes in fear rather than in prayer.
He will seek to frighten us and keep us in place.
To stop our forward movement and to silence our voice.
The deafening thunder will roll in long peals, so that others can not hear the
good news.
All part of the storm....

But we must never forget.....
We must keep in close in our hearts and memories....
That out in the eye of the storm, the friends of God suffer no permanent harm.
