There is much pain out there.
There is much pain in me.
It's not the fact that we have pain (physically and emotionally), but what are we going to do with it?
Are we going to let it consume us? Are we going to stay tied to memories and actions of others that keep us from moving on with God.
Maybe this is the hard part of loving someone, especially when it is someone close to us who has hurt us. God commands us to love. To love big. To love unconditionally. To love without fail or a without a hidden agenda. We are called to love and not expect anything in return. That is hard to do when it is someone close to you. But God will provide grace to see you through. He will take our pain and use it for good. That is a promise.
In Psalm 34:15 we read:
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry.
Either this is true or it is a lie. God looks to us especially when we hurt. We want the hurt to go away. We want situations to be different than they are. God says, "I know you are hurting, but this hurt will cause you to grow so that the next thing that comes along, you will have strength and stamina to deal with it.
Psalm 34:19 reads:
A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.
Take heart today in who you are in Jesus.
Remember what your position is in Christ.
Say it out loud.
Say it with purpose.
"I am a child of the most high God."
God on you..............
Verse of the Day:
John 13:34
A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. All men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.
